Methods of Giving

There are so many ways that you can help to support Alvarado. If you have any questions, please get in touch with one of the contacts noted in the box to the right.

Annual Fund and Monetary Contributions

To contribute to our Annual Fund through a one-time donation or through regular monthly contributions, you may download the Annual Fund Pledge Form at right and send it in with your donation or use JustGive to process your donation online (see online donations below).  Alvarado School is a 501 (c)(3)  nonprofit organization, ID #94-6171208, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please make checks payable to: Alvarado PTA, 625 Douglass Street, San Francisco, CA 94114.

Online Donations

For families and friends near and far that would like to support Alvarado, we now have an online donation system.  To make an online donation, click on the JustGive button below and you'll be directed to Alvarado's online donation page. Receiving gifts that you just don't want or need? Encourage your friends and family to make a gift to Alvarado in your name.

Please note: Your receipt from online donations will be from the PTA California Congress Of Parents Teachers & Students, Inc. This is just the Alvarado PTA's official name. Rest assured that your donation is going directly to Alvarado.

Also, all donations will be applied to the school's Annual Fund. We apologize that we aren't able to designate donations to a specific use, so please disregard the "Designate my donation" box on the JustGive page.

 

 

Merchant Directory

You can support Alvarado by shopping at local, family-owned businesses that have pledged to donate a percentage of your purchases to Alvarado. These businesses are listed in our Merchant Directory.

 

Scrip

You can support Alvarado by participating in our scrip programs with Rainbow Grocery and with eScrip. Rainbow Grocery donates 10% of your purchases to Alvarado, and eScrip (an umbrella organization which has partnerships with a large number of merchants and grocery stores) donates between 1% and 5%, depending on the merchant.

 

Online Shopping

Shop online at Amazon.com or Greenraising.com, and a percentage of your purchases will be donated to Alvarado. Alternatively, register and shop online with OneCause.com, which has partnerships with many different merchants, to donate a percentage of your online purchases to Alvarado.

 

Matching Gifts

Many employers have established matching gifts programs that allow an employee's gift to be matched. Please check with your employer regarding their gift matching policies. If your employer provides matching funds, please inform us that your gift will be matched at the time you make a donation.

Gifts in Kind

We gratefully accept donations of technology, equipment, furniture, books and other items that are in good condition and are relevant to our educational programs and mission. Please see our Wishlist page for an updated list of the items we need most critically.
